Holly Bennett makes sculpture of people, animals and unusual creatures. Holly aims to speak to an audience who is interested in engaging with areas of deeper significance within our lives. She says the figures are metaphors that speak of an “internal narrative”. Each figure is cast with great consideration to provoke direct visual impact, and not a little humour, to evoke a common emotive response.
The original sculptures are modelled in wax onto a wire armature and are then cast as editions in a British eco-resin. This production method, pioneered by Holly, makes intricate and exquisite sculptures both easily accessible and thought provoking.
